From an early age, Scott had an aptitude for drawing and when he was in the third grade, he drafted a charcoal and chalk perspective rendering of his family home. The rendering promptly caught the attention of his teacher, who displayed it on the school hall. As a child and as a teen, Scott could be found building cabins and treehouses in the woods behind his childhood home. At the age of twenty-one, Scott started his own construction company and was a skilled carpenter and designer. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has a certificate in surveying.
Scott has extensive construction knowledge from working as a Civil Engineer for 30 years and also from owning and managing a construction company, Siegwart Remodeling, for 47 years. Much of the Siegwart Remodeling work centered around the construction of ADA accessible bathrooms and home features to assist people with disabilities. Scott wants to carry some of these accessible design elements, such as wider door openings, in the home plans he is currently designing.
Scott also owned and operated a home building company, Victory Worth Family Homes, LLC, with his wife, Gina. Scott has custom designed several homes and has been able to experience the pleasure of hands-on involvement in the building processes of those homes. He and his wife, Gina, have been married for 45 years and have five grown children and one grandchild. In his spare time, Scott loves woodworking.
